Radio station you listen to
Never spent much time of late listening to any radio but I stumbled across the “California Reggae” channel on Spotify.

Definitely worth a listen.

What or who do you listen to?

Re: Radio station you listen to
I’d like to retract what I said about BBC radio. I got cold turkey after two days and listened to R4 instead of R5.

I am now it’s biggest fan.

Radio 2 went down the toilet a year ago sacking big names and replacing them with shirt lifters and women.

Virgin radio - early morning Chris Evans.
Greatest Hits radio - mid morning Ken Bruce

The rest of the day Radio X or 6 Music

Radio x is constantly on whilst I'm working. At home it'll be a toss up between Capital Dance or Centreforce.

Re: Radio station you listen to
Radio 6, Lauren Laverne,Steve Lamaq and sometimes Guy Garvey or Cerys Mathews, mostly for her beautiful voice. Radcliffe and Marconie is fun on a weekend morning but to often one is away. It's like Ernie Wise on his own when it is.
Radio 2, not sure why. Johnny Walker and Paul Gambo. Jo Wiley some times.
Without Steve Wright or Ken Bruce they are all the same.
Greatest Hits Radio. Ken Bruce legend and Simon Mayo quality entertainment.
Radio 4. Lost of a bit of enthusiasm but the plays and Hannah Fry shows plus the cookery shows are good.
LBC to bash the Tories

Agree about Robert Elms Gary and East side, I was gutted when radio London reduced him from 6 days a week to 3, sadly I think it was all about replacing white middle aged presenters with young black and Asian ones

Robbie Vincent show on BBC radio London was essential listening in the late 70s early 80s. That's where you heard the best new Jazz, Funk and Soul when there was almost no where else to hear it.

Good times

Re: Radio station you listen to
Robert Elms is the best presenter on Radio London by a country mile but the bosses have a history of shooting themselves in the foot with Danny Baker famously quitting live on air a decade or so ago being a prime example.
I also have fond memories of listening to Robbie Vincent playing all the latest Jazz Funk and soul on that station in the eighties.

LBC back in there old Gough square days had a programme called nightlne presented by Clive Bull which was quite entertaining but is now toonnews based and woke although I occasionally listen in to Ian Dale.

Mainly Planet Rock. I do listen to other types of music, and don’t like all the stuff they play, but they play a lot of songs you don’t hear anywhere else, including album tracks. Statuons like Absolute just play the same songs all the time. For example, they will only ever play Free Bird and Sweet Home Alabama by Lynryrd Skinyrd, but they have a great back catalogue. Same story for Thin Lizzy and AC/DC.

Rarely listen to radio but if I do
Radio 5 Live. Some good some bad.
Radio 4. Mostly when her indoors has it on. Woke Woke Woke
Radio 6. Vary rarely in the car. A bit like an old pirate station with terrible presenters and some interesting music.

I listen to a lot of long form podcasts, Audio books and music on Spotify where I get anything and everything.
